Ok, not going to Alaska. Because we Irish can't control ourselves when it comes to drinking, apparently, and I'm not over the legal age for your ridiculous country.

yeah we suck and we've decided that 21 is when people grow brains.

but we all know thats not true. it takes AT LEAST until 30 for that to happen.

Good job people don't need brains to be sent off to war though. That could really cause problems for an administration.

yeah we love our soldiers brainless. we seem to get a lot accomplished that way. brainless soldiers listen to brainless leaders.

come to glasnevin, there's a party, I'm here. And I'm actually fairly drunk, and all I can see are irish blokes.

Obviously, but it's them that wouldn't let me go over because they didn't trust me. I didn't even plan on drinking, I'm sick of it.

oh, but the ways we underage "kids" can find alcohol...I think it's really kind of developed into an art form. But yeah, it's great that I can't legally drink but I can legally go kill people (and get killed).

If they'd planned on going to the Yukon it wouldn't have been a problem. The Yukon is much better than Alaska.

Is that a cover of the George Harrison song? A Japanese cover?

Indeed, indeed! My friends have never heard of these vaguely-related-to-Pearl Jam-bands. I went mad when Mudhoney were playing and all I got were blank expressions! Feckers!

They've all magically disappeared! I did see one of them yesterday, but besides scowling at him in the library for having the music volume up too loud (it was Audioslave though) and bashing into him at the vending machines, we don't communicate! Stupid societies!

I've only spent a week or two travelling around. I suppose it's only the laws and administration I think are ridiculous. And the massive cars. And the over-eating unhealthy food. And the God-complex. And the insane capitalism. But that's it.

[info]123not_it

but see, there's a reason for all of that stuff.

-the massive cars are needed to cart around the huge people- a result of the over eating of unhealthy food.

I was subtly asking you to intorduce yourself. This would usually entail telling me your name, and how you came to commenting on my journal.
Of course this is optional, but it would be nice.

well it's going to sound weird but whatever, here goes....
my family is irish and i've always been into ireland and stuff so i was bored the other night and randomly decided to look for people in ireland to talk to.

and that's my story.

Ok, but if you want to talk to me on MSN Messenger or something about Irish stuff, you can. It's slightly more efficient that way. rubber_jojo@hotmail.com is my MSN thing.
